Using Established Filter Media

as its been a few years since i cycled my first tank just want a quick question answered please. i'm setting up my first betta tank and i'm gonna use a very well established sponge from my internal filter in my main tank, so does this mean the new tank will be cycled straight away or do i still need to leave a while??

if your using established media<as in the whole sponge then your good to go,,,the bacteria is already<should be>formed
