Hi,
I managed to save 15 molly fry, unfortunately I think they were born prematurely, a couple had their sacs, one was missing an eye, and they were still and breathing heavy at the bottom.
About 8 are active and swimming, the rest are dying off slowly.... survival of the fittest I guess.

Its been 4 days now and they are in a marina breeding box, I want to give them more room to give them a better chance, I'm aware that even though they are small they are still producing waste, and uneaten food, poo + small spaces = ammonia spikes.
So I was wondering if this would work

I could try and stick it on to the inside of the tank....
Its a pond planter about 28cmx18cm
My smaller tank is taking for ever to cycle so I thought this may work for now?
If not does anyone have any other suggestions?
I have bought a divider from aquariumdividers.com but they still managed to slip through the gaps and most were eaten. So until they are bigger I need an alternative.

Thanks in advance.

I don't see why that wouldn't work as long as the holes are small enough for them not to get through

Well I bought one and the holes were too big!
Back to then drawing board, thanks btw

You could try wrapping some tights tightly around the basket, it'd still allow water flow but stop the fry getting through the holes

Excellent idea! Thanks, I was just make shifting a float for it, I managed to sew polystyrene around the rim so it stays up... going to dig pit some old tights on the morning... :)

Don't you just hate auto type ... makes my posts sound like I'm half cut...
