I doubt they look life-like. They are probably one of those schemes to make quick money, because little kids think they are real fish. The fact that it has a hinged tail means nothing, doesn't make it look any more life-like.

those dont work really well, i bought a battery powered one for 5 bucks from k mart. looks nice, but fish look kinda stupid when they are swimming backwards and sideways

At least there isn't a real fish in there. I can't say the same for some of the other "tanks" I've seen. But I already have my desk fish. Hunding and Gunther and they are great!

have you seen the radio controlled submarines that you can have in large fish tanks. i thought about buying one for fun and then figured that it would be really unsafe for the fish and probably quite stressfull!
Anyone got one?

Yea perfect simulator to learn how to deal with fish. Except that when you acctualy get fish you make even more mistakes, but they certainly last long.
