I just keep a vigilant eye on the females, If I see young I scoop them up before they get eaten. It's not uncommon for the mothers to eat their own.

Very close to what I do. I have a "fry" tank immediately next to the "birthing" tank, and when I see the fry I just scoop them up and pop them over. The temps and stats are identical, so it doesn't shock them. They never seem the worse for wear.

On a 35 litre tank I would worry more about good filtration than about temperature in a heated home. I use sponge filters for the simple reason that they do not suck up fry. A home, heated to be comfortable for people, will be fine for guppies. A minimum normal everyday kind of temperature for a guppy is about 20C. Most homes are at least that temperature even in winter. A guppy can well survive in water much cooler, but it should not be kept much cooler for very long periods. Fry growth at low temperatures will be slower but the fish will also live a longer life, so it is really not a problem for the fish.

ill take your advice and add the filter instead of the heater.

6 fry in total i managed to get.
The first was in the 125l which im amazed it didt get eaten right away.
other 5 came from breeding net, as i had to go bed for school. But mum ame and said she thought she saw 1 baby but there were 5.

also i had a dead fry it had a big egg sack still and didnt move.
