Upgrade To Tank

Hi all. Just wanted to share some good news.
I've just upgraded from a 100 l to a lovely 180 l tank.
My wife says this is the last upgrade for at least a year though, as I started out with a 48 l fish box just 6 months ago and upgraded to a 100 l at Christmas.
Each time I've promised her that it's the last upgrade for a while but really don't think she'll go for another (unless I find a free or really cheap one )
Now I've just got to work out what to put in it.
Thinking of another angel or 2 at the moment.

Haha well done! I went 33liter - 125 liter - 240 liter in 6 months :haha: always happens.

What stock do you have at the moment?

Stocking at the mo is

1 angel
2 krib
2 ram
2 bnp
5 cherry barb
4 platy
1 pepper corry
1 shrimp
3 khuli loach

I'd like to add tiger barbs but can't obviously with the angel in there.

I would get more Peppered cory's, they do like to be in large schools.

Ah right cool Sounds good to me, I would add more angels like you said. If you like tiger barbs there are a few other options that look kind of similar for example the black ruby barb Then Id pump up your cherry barb school, get more cories at least 5 more and get more khuli loaches to make them a proper school as well.

hope u upgraded ur filtration too

i'd increase the kuhlis, catfish and angelfish. try to get angelfish as close to the same size as the one u currently have

Yes bnp is bristle nose plecs. They definately have a lot of character.
Think I'm definately adding a couple more angels and some more cory's. The lone cory was a rescue really. He had terrible fin rot so I took him in and he's coming along really well. Fins are almost completely healed now.
I was also going to add maybe 3 more khuli's too.
I've seen the black ruby barbs but I'd heard they can be fin nippy too so didn't want to risk them with angels.
Do you think they'd be ok then, and if so how many would be good?
Oh and yes I now have a fluval 204 filter running. Much better than my old internal (which is in there too for cloning)
