I'm Zoe, new to this forum, have had tropical fish for past 4 years, up until now in a 60 litre tank. Have just upgraded to an Aqua One AR-850 165 litre tank (yesterday). So far all going well, no fishy losses thank goodness (transferred absolutely everything from old tank so haven't lost much bacteria. Awaiting new Fluval U4 filter, however old filter should be ok till it arrives as it's capable of 200 litres so was overfiltering the old tank

Anyway, while the tank and current fish settle in their new home, I'm doing some research into what I could add to my fishy family. So currently I have:

1 Betta
1 Platy (rescued)
1 Elderly Pentazona Barb (last remaining of a shoal)
1 Elderly Oto (last remaining of a shoal)
3 Gold Neons (fairly young - had bigger shoal but lost some when hubby put an unwashed plant in the tank

2 Cardinals (as above and planning to add more to replenish the shoal)
12 Rummynose Tetras (new as of last week)

Water parameters, amm 0 nitri 0 nitra 5-10, ph 7.6

I like anything pretty, colourful (know I have to be careful with the Betta) and don't want anything too massive that poops a lot! Any ideas?

Many thanks

I'd focus on upping some of those shoals, Maybe the singles could be rehoused to someone else who already has shoals? Then focus on the shaosl you already partially have. Maybe something like pygmy cories to give your tank a presence on the bottom.

You seem aware of this but I wouldn't trust all those tetras with that betta all the same!

welcome to the forums---how bout a blue neon dwarf Gourami---I have one and it's very active and colorful
