Update On My ‘sick’ Cardinal Tetra

leave it for a day and then treat the tank again. Do a 50% water change before re-treating the tank and that will prevent you overdosing it. The water change and gravel clean will also lower the pathogen s in the water and help the medication finish doing its job.

the extra poo coming out of the sick fish is probably from the extra food it is being fed.

Hi all again....

Okay, its nearly a month later....and this little fish was doing ok, he showed real signs of improvement....his colour was improving and he was just generally showing over all good health.

However, I went away for the weekend came back yesterday and he is now swimming with his tail pointing upwards....there is white blotches on his body around the caudal fin area.

I tested the water yesterday and my results were Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm and Nitrate 0ppm and that was after 11 days since I did a water change. (I been trying to see if my tank is fully cycled, and it looks like it finally is.)

Anyway, I did a 30% water change then just in case, to freshen up the water and do a gravel clean etc.

What will I do now?

I'll try and get a photo of him if I can.

By the way, today my stats are:
Ammonia:0ppm
Nitrite:0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
Ph: 7.8

Hi all,

I couldn't get a photo as I can't take a good shot, so there would be no point.

He's not looking good at all....he has those lesions on his back again....and he waddles when he swims...he's really struggling. The tail is still pointing upwards.

I've changed out my water, and given a dose of Interpet no.9 again.....I hope this will help him.

Thanks anyway....I guess no-one has any advice or ideas about it! ????
