It's been 2 months since change from plastic plants to real ones.

Hope you all like it. :)

Indeed i do DaveW.

It looks like you are using sand from the photo, are you using anything else as i am about to set mine up this weekend.? :)

Cheers Guppy Dave.
It all just sand, with a few root fertiliser tablet push under the Lily's and Borneo swords. I am planning to strip the whole thing down so I can put in some API Laterite with the sand, or I might change to gravel. But I know that some people use sand with root tablets and have a lot of success.

I was thinking about a laterite or eco-complete for the base of my tank then cover it with sand.

As i have said in my introductions post i have been away from tropical life for a while and only recently decided to come back,so seeing all these great tanks and hearing all your advice is helping me tremendously.Thanks.

Dave. :)

Same hear, I had a few tanks before but only had this one for 6 months. If you are interested in growing plants, check out the "plants and planted tank" forum. You can pick up lots of very good advice by just reading through threads! Saying that, you can pick up good advice in all the forums.

Thanks.
It's only 1.2 WPG. I have got new lighting that I have yet to put in, which will make it 2.2 WPG.

beautiful tank you have there dave. very lush and colourful. have you ran into any problems yet? looks good for 2 months. algae has had plenty of time to grow if it was going to and i cant see any. good stuff.

That peace of wood to the right really makes it i reckon! LOL! And those rams

Great lush green healthy plants too! Top aquaria! :D You need to make a journal entry in the planted forum where a pinned article has been created for all the major planted tanks! Check it out!
