Hi,
I've been suffering the follwoing problem in my 100gal tank for sometime
and I'm kean to erradicate it. The disease seems to affect any fish in the aquarium
but is most prevelant on neons, mollies, barbs and rummies. The disease starts as follows.
Affected fish either start with a dull grey patch, very small on their body or one or two raised scales.
I have a neaon that has about six raised scales on each side but not dropsy. These are seperate individual scales.
As if something popped a scale out. Something under the scale. The images are from a Mollie which had for a while a small white area
on it's side and then Pow! suddenly exploded both sides, as if you had taken a file to the side and rougthed it up.
I cannot see cotton fluff or strands as in fungus.
Any ideas.
I've tried a three week course of Myaxin with little effect. Now trying the same with Protozin.
My water parameters are 5-10 ppm Nitrate. 0 ppm Amonia. 0 ppm Nitrite.

Thanks,
Ted.
