Ok, so i got these little bugs in my tank 2 weeks ago..
there was about 1 m illion of them (literlly)
they were round (almost like a mini lady bug) orange/brown body with black dots..
they glided on the surface
and stayed either at the bottom within a cm or in the rocks or on the rocks
they were probably 1-3mm big/round whatever it is..
and they were to small to catch in a fish net..
so i had to take apart my whole tank..boil the rocks wash out the tank..get a new filter
and all that stuff to just get rid of them..so i was wondering if anyone knew what it was.
Thanks! any help is appreciated.

Not sure but since noone else has responded I figure I'd give it a shot.

Could it be a water scorpion? Sounds a bit like them. 2-3cm and air breathers that go under water.

Here's a site that has a lot of great info on weird bugs, well, bugs in general. I hope this may be of some help?

Please don't click this link if you don't like closeup pictures of spiders and bugs. :)

that'd be way to big...thy were only 1-3Millimeters big..
and i got grossed out by that site.. (i don't like bugs much)
so i couldn't igure it out..
i was looking at it for about 2 minutes then exited!
but thanks anyway ;)

Oh man, that bug site is nasty! Tamara, do you have any pictures of your bugs?

I apologize for that. I guess I should have had a warning for people that don't like looking at spiders and bugs. Again, I'm sorry.

I'll go edit that now though.

Haha, the site was alright...but not when you're eating!!!

and no...sorry i don't have any pictures...just imagine a ladybug that is about 5Xsmaller than it's actualy size..
or take a gel pen or something like that and just poke the paper with it..that's the size (if that makes sense)
