Hi,
I have had a 120L tank for almost 1 year. Have experienced algae problem but not that serious...
Use ferts and DIY CO2
Two weeks ago I bought some Elodea from Pets@Home. They looked very healthy.
I planted them in group (5-6 stems together), in 3-4cm depth.
Now I found most of them have grown closer to the water surface, although with very thin and small leaves...
However, most of the lower parts of stems (and leaves on them) became yellow, and start rotting away....
Then I have to cut the lower parts and replant them every 2 weeks, ending up with very thin and unhealthy new plants.....
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong
1) Should I plant them in individual? so they won't shade each other?
2) Did I plant them to deep?
3) Why new leaves are very small?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
