unexplained platy death

my platy lauri was found dead in my tank a few days ago.i dont know how he died.He was'nt eating much for a while but showed no signs of an illness.My other fish are fine and they hav'nt been bullying him.I wonder if he ate sum sand or something and its got stuck and thats why he has'nt ate much.Can anyone help?
