wel my mum and dad meaning well went and bought me today a yellow clown goby (which im fine with as ive been reaserchign and know it will be ok in my tank) and a false grammar. The thing is is i dont know the first thing about the false grammar except that they could potentialy be predators of ornamental shrimp (im hoping ive read wrong) and they can be semi aggresive. Also the tank mates now are 2 occ. clowns 1 clown goby 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 smallish pepermint shrimp and the grammar, another comment this is in a 23 gallon.

so the question is am i doomed? and also i cant take the grammar back because it would be really rude to my parents.

The fish in question is a Psuedochromis and thus very aggressive and a risk to small crustaceans especially shrimp.

oh dear god. my cleaner shrimp seems to put the pseudo in his place though and the fish actually seems scared of him. My cleaner is very big though.

i had one in my tank for quite some time and it never bothered anything
i say had because it decided to go carpet surfing

Usually only small shrimp (but not cleaners) are at risk. The fish are comparable to damselfish as far as aggression goes.

i know what you mean he tried to pull a fast one when i was acclimatising him. Leanrt a valuable lesson though; always put a plastic bag over fish buckets.

Also in the store i got the fish out of quite a big tank that had lots of clownfish and various gobys and he seemd to be alrite but i suppose only time will tell. Also i think because hes bigger than the rest of the fish he doesnt really need to fight to get his own way they just shy away.

grammas will be aggressive towards newa additions. Were you planning on adding other fish to the tank? They're also usually ok with shrimp if the shrimp are there first ;)

im sure ican add a new fish aslong as i explain the situation to my mum so shell give me the money for a fish and then ill work it off. Im really stumped though as to what to get as my final 2 fish (said from thebegining that i would have 6 fish) although i would adjust to one fish if it was a big one. I need somethign that will stay in the main open water coz the clowns are too small to fill that area up. Was thinking of chromis but the rule is that ive heard is only in odd numbers and in 30g or more  any suggestions for final two (or one big one) fish are welcomed

hmm i dont think my mum or sisters will want that in the tank as they are scared enough of shrimp let alone something thats big, quite slimey and has teeth. Also they aremega expensive.

hell if i was rich (tlaking mega bucks) id have like 4 different tanks dedicated to weird things lol. IMO aanything weird is cool.
