Has anybody done the underwater waterfall is it worth the hassle of making ?

I have one (not in use atm, but I love it). It's a bought one, shaped like a lion's head fountain on a wall, I'm sure you've seen ones like it.

It works from an air pump which lifts up fine sand and then lets it drop down from the lion's mouth, where it falls through a grid and goes round to the beginning.

It's very cool when it's running.

No never seen this before until other day on YouTube when I watched someone make it an it looked good but wasn't sure, an how much are the ones that arnt home made

Ah right I get it. Not seen them, but I can visualise it now.

i loved the look of them awhile back and was going to try to make one but never got around to it. i dont think there to hard to make  you could give it ago :good: id like to see what it turns out like

Yeah I might have to have a little go no harm in trying hahaha

I've had mine years and having a quick Google I can't find anything like it. You might have to make your own, in that case!

wow im impressed with that whats the small creeping plants which looks like ivy?

it looks like Hydrocotyle sp Japan (this would give you that effect) or nymphoides taiwan. This was a real low tech tank as well, it didn't run C02. It came 29th in Amanos plant contest last year.

it looks really good i might have to try my hand at something like this soon :good: thanks for the plant info
