Understanding Gen X

I’m old enough to not really know, or care for that matter, what “gen” anyone is… kids are kids, and we didn’t do that, when I was a kid… wouldn’t it be great if the “kids” got empathy for old people, and cared for them, for real… my mother is still around at 90, in a care facility, and they never have enough help…

my line lately has been, they’ll find my wife’s and my bones in our recliners, bible in one hand, and the remote control in the other…

That's what these under 65 year old whippersnappers need to see! A thread on where we think our corpses will be found!

I'll hopefully be somewhere in the 2050s, out in the fishroom with a glass of good whiskey in one hand, and a fish net in the other.

Once you denounce anything but fishkeeping practices or legislation affecting the hobby, you probably go political to varying degrees.
Challenge accepted: I denounce nerve gas. And flat tires. And acne. And pencil erasers that leave smears on the page. And people who drive slow in the fast lane.

There. I said it.

Well, nerve gas can become political if your army stockpiles it. Flat tires? Those danged (pick one of a million political parties around the world) don't even do the basics on our roads, but they invest money in acne treatments for their friends and use pencils to cover up. AND they drive slowly in the fast lane to not draw attention from the police. When they do draw attention, the pencil erasers go to work! Smear tactics!

One of these days we're going to pop that corruption pimple, fill our tires with nerve gas and then, freedom.

Coming soon, to an online barstool near you...

Now many newer cars don't even have a donut spare tire. They give you a can of fix-a-flat and an air pump. Good luck if you get a sidewall blowout in the dessert or in a distant rural area. I prefer a full size spare in the car and a car jack and tire wrench.

I at least have a donut spare tire and jack in the car. I also have a tire repair kit if I get a nail hole and I also have a tire inflator. And I have AAA if I'm wearing a suit and headed to a wedding

What kind of an ignoramus doesn’t have a spare tire and a jack ? Same on my bike . I have a spare tube , patch kit and a small hand pump and I know how to use them . Who in their right mind wants to walk when he can drive ?

there are a whole group of people that would rather push a button, and have someone else do those things for them
