Alright. Is it not good for me to use a underground filter in a 1g? It came with the tanka nd I have about 3 of em...and a minibow 1 with a undergravel filter. Should I use it or no? and will it affect the behavior of the bettas if they cant blow bubble nests? Ive had one blow a bubble nest.

You can buy a gang valve and adjust the air flow so that it only trickles out air. Otherwise- no you don't have to use them, but they're not bad or anything.

Thats what I did today. I got a couple of T Valves. They're cheap with no adjusters, but they let only a little air out. When I used my first undergravel filter (my minibow 1) it fizzed so much that it created a thick coat of bubbles at the top..not it doesn't do that! Awesome.

As llong as it was the filter making the bubbles and not the betta :) Mine sometimes covored the entire top of their 5 gallons with bubbles

It was the filter. The bubbles were way to big for the bettas to blow.

Most of my 1 gallons are aquaviews, and I left the UGF in all of them.... Just wasn't bothered by taking them out, b/c none of my boys seem to care either way, so that's just less stuff I have laying around... just waiting to be stepped on.... So if it seems to bother them maybe take it out, but if not it's totally fine to keep in....
