So I recently got a RCC and everything has been going quite well. Except...I've noticed when she tries to climb certain places she tips over, falling on her back and then struggles to get up for awhile before managing to turn over. She is missing two back legs on one side from being caught at the pet store, is this causing the clumsy behavior or should I be worried about her health?

If I wasn't so concerned it would be comical, with her little legs waving in the air like that.

Yep, lack of legs = loss of climbing ability, do her a favour and make things 'easier' add some fake plants (ivy) for her to get a good grip on :)

Ahh phew. Okay that makes me breath a little easier. I've tried to make things simple for her to get around in the first place, there's a ramp up to the land portion and some fake plants for climbing on the other side. She just seems to pick the awkward places to climb and falls over. I think I have a goofy one.

Not a goofy one at all - mine seem to fine the most awkward places to climb and try to hang on to - then when you walk in the room she scares herself so much she jumps from the highest point to where she is - usually right in to the oncoming blue lobster that then chases her round the tank (luckily enough she is faster than he is!!! just!).

Enjoy her - they are great pets and a fab talking point!!!
