Ugh This Is A Pain....

Well i built this archer fish shooting range....but the intake and output tubes for my canister filter have to go through the netting so when i get my 5g bucket of water ready for a water change i have to deconstruct the pipes/tubes, shut off the filter, tank off the lights, and finally put on the cage. Can anyone recommend a pump of some sort i can use to pump water out of my tank and into the bathtub/tolet and to put water back in the tank i can just let it push the water in the bucket into the tank....Sounds lazy, yes...but im not going to deconstruct half my tank to do water changes....and yes it was due to poor planning of the cage...frustrated with myself right now..

Couldnt you use a syphone tube to get the water out of the bucket just put it higher than the tank?

I do this on my water change 12L through a 1" hole in the condensation tray

I can but ill need more tubing that can connect to my siphon but the cage prevent me from just pouring the water in...

I use this

just pop the long bit in the tank and squeeze the blue bit,to fill just hold the bucket above the tank and put the long bit in the bucket. could also put a bit of hose on the end to reduce splashing.

Hey Shovelman couldn't you just put a photo up of a criket just outside the tank so the Archers spit the water out into a bucket...hear a 'ting' everytime they fire...

Funny you say that... i woke up to my archers spitting...and it landed into the garbage can so it made a similar noise....lol
