Uarus And Discus Together - Opinions?

we shall see I;ve picked the Uaru up now they are gorgeous actually about 7 inch if not slightly more
they weren;t in my plans but beautiful fish

I;'ll set the tank up as if for discus with the tetras and may actually leave the discus for now and keep the Uaru as the main fish... I like them that much!!

I didn't actually realise that you didn't have the discus yet, but had just set the tank up for them.
How big is the tank ?
As for other uaru tankmates, I can thoroughly recommend sevs, chocs, and in fact most of the "acara-type" south american species. They'll also obvioulsy live happily with anything small from small tetras upwards (although tiny shrimps would be at risk I'm sure).

Very nice they look big and healthy. What tank mates are you thinking. Make sure they are not wimps because my uarus are really mean at feeding time besides that they play nice but if another fish getstoo close to there food they bite them till they move.

They are the smartest fish I have ever had that's for sure and very entertaining to watch.
