Two Red Stripes By Gills

I had a 6 females in my 20g. About 4 of them had this. My cousin who is also into betta's keeps 5 females together. They all have this. Are they open wounds or are they something betta's will develop? A few of our males also have this.

my blue CT has 'em. i believe it's normal.

I think it's normal too. Mine used to have really pronounced ones... I think it might have been due to him flaring at everything when I first got him. It's gone down alot, but still there.

Awesome, thanks. I thought they were normal, since they didn't seem to affect their health or anything. Perhaps the males are a little to flarey and the females, well they're always together, so they'll flare alot more than males with sheets inbetween the tanks.
