Both of these tanks are a really good start Neal. My only advice right now echoes what George Farmer said earlier in the Planted tank Section. More plants, you need more plants. Find what you like and take this time to find out what grows well for you.

I'm going to have to give up carpetting plants, I just found my pitbull plec stuck in the hairnet of my moss carpet! It's happened before aswell, i've managed to cut him free and take him out of the tank to get all of the hairnet off him and out of his gills, they should call me "Vet Neal". I try to pull it as tight as I can, but my plecs ALWAYS end up caught in it!
I'm going to get some more plants when I get my new tank, which should be around christmas, that's if I actually get it.
