my first attempt with aquariums so please forgive me if they look naff.

the idea is to create two tanks that are complete symmetry of each other. I have built the bases out of pine which are 30 cms high off the ground and paced the tanks on each one. now have done the aquascape and started a fishless cycle. while this is going on I will build the remaining cabinet which will box in both tanks to act as picture frames with just the bow fronts jutting out. I plan on stocking the tanks with just 3line corydorus and a couple of silver dollars.View attachment 64393

Looks brilliant, very artistic. What an original idea - flows very nicely on the eye. Just a word on the dollars though - they are schoolers so just keeping a pair might result in timid/skittish behaviour. I had six a couple years back (since rehomed) which were a closely knit and timid group until feeding time when they would go absolutely ballistic, and not in a good way, it caused problems with the other fish - they should do alright with the bottom feeding corys though. Be great if you could post again with the finished cabinet, it's going to look amazing :)

Interesting idea, will look forward to more pictures..

i agree with what you say about dollars. i should of said in my first post i will have five silver dollars in each tank and 10 3lined corys for the bottom and no other fish. x

I know I've said it before, but I'll keep saying it, they are amazing, you've done a great job! Cant wait to see them stocked!

I would go with Spotted Silver Dollars as i don't believe a 210 litre tank will be big enough for 5 Silver Dollars and 10 Cory's. :/

And yes, you have made a fantastic job of these tanks. Well done!

Just no more injuries please! Lol.
well power tools are on charge ready for my carpentry. the BRI hospital on stand by so will let you know if I need any visitors. honestly though my doctors think i am completely nuts making this cabinet by touch but i like to surprise them - i might even surprise myself and make a good job at it lol biggest project since loosing my sight so feeling mixture of excitement and daunting. will post regular pictures on my facebook page but promise nothing gory lol x

I don't mind gory pictures, just don't like the idea of my friends chopping bits off themselves! Lol. And sod your doctors! I think you're gonna do a fantastic job!

I didn't realize you were actually blind and that you have created these beautiful displays from within your mind's aye by the power of touch alone. It's just amazing, I'm speechless. Utterly humbling and inspirational, thanks millions for sharing - I have total confidence in your talent and the cabinets are going to be brilliant :)
