Turbo Snails

Hi I bought two turbo snails today for my Nano Marine Aquarium.When I put them in one has gone to the top of the water and sits at the water line and the other hasn't moved yet.
The salt strength is correct,Is there are problem does anyone think.Should I give them a chance to acclimatise?
I'm new so treat me gently.lol

Hey Allan. welcome to the hobby!!!

A lot of my snails sit at the water line every so often as well, so thats nothing to worry about.
As for the snail thats not moving, I agree you should give him some time to acclimate before you worry about him to much.
Most animals will be very reclusive and shy when you first add them to a new environment.

I;m another one who has snails that sit at the water line a fair bit infact the turbos arent that speedy at all unlike the dove snails I have!!

Thanks folks,he continues to crawl around the waterline but the other one I have slowly crawls around the rocks munching on the algae,so much for turbos,lol.
I bought a hermit crab yesterday and he is pretty active but has not bothered the snails at all.
One question,I have strange looking tubes(that's the best way I can describe them)growing from my live rock,they seem to increase in length a bit each night.They are ivory in colour and have a rough looking texture about them.Could they be some kind of worm.I guess if these are growing then I must have conditions about right.Any ideas?

turbo was a nick name to do
with the speed they go
