Tumor Lump Thing..

Is it possible to be something reproducing in her guts or insides? could be a parasite etc. Wilder should be along soon, she helps alot of people in trouble! :good:

yikes, i dont want to worry you too much but this happened to a female betta of mine from a year and a bit ago. one side of her stomach was swelling but she was acting normal, i gave her a boiled pea (thinking it mightve been constapation, you never know) but it didnt do anything. The tumor just kept slowly growing, however a few weeks after it began she started to just lie around and only come up for air and food (so I moved her to a hospital tank), a few days later she wouldn't eat, and a few days after that, i woke up to find her dead with a hole in her side where the tumor had been. It seriously was just a round indent, there was no blood or scraches or anything. I came to the conclusion that it had burst :X
try the antibiotics, as this might cut her life short. I REALLY hope this outcome doesnt occur for you! She does sound like a fighter! Goodluck! To you and Verity!

eww, I sorry that happened to your girl :( It sounds like that one was an abcess of some sort if it burst.

Would I have to get antibiotics from the vet?

i looked up that spectorum(or something like that, lol, i just copied and pasted it on google) turns out it is electrowaves!? So that would kind of be like when cancer patients go through keemo therapy (exposing it to radiation?). i also looked up tumors in bettas but the only advice i found was some that said not to do anything :/ Its a common problem tho i even found another fish that has a strangley familiar growth

Unfortunatly, tho these cases seem so common, no one that i could find, knows how to treate and/or stop this  I'm sorry.

if correctly diagnosed you could treat with something really strong like anti-biotics find the one in the lfs that looks the best but not the cheapest!

eeshk that one does look very similar, just a bit further down the body.
If it stays the size it is now (about the same as that pic you posted) I'll leave it I suppose, but if it starts getting bigger I'll do more research.

I'd try and get some antibiotics or something now, but I'm so broke I cant even afford the bus fare to get to an ATM

Eek, it's starting to look like my betta, I had assumed on my boy that the tumour is so big that it shows on both sides...

Let's keep our fingers crossed for our babies. But all we can do as I'm doing is add treatment and hope for the best.

*fingers crossed*
