Trying To Save My Fish

i thought i was being thrifty when i got my plants from hobby lobby,yes it save some money,but alittle too late i learn that there is wire in these plants and didnt know. how does the wire harm the fish? i lost two elec blues this am somje more arent looking great(african cichlid tank) if this is correct on the diagnosis what can i do if the metal is what harmed them

I have weighed my plants down with a variety of metals before ranging from lead / copper & ordinary wires with no ill affect.... I just wonder if it is not something else??

Now, since you know you've got metals, why not just remove and see if problem persist??.... Could be a case of how much metal per gallon??
