Hi There,

I'm a new member.

Recently got another tank and a big aggressive fish with it.

The previous owners let things go so bad that you couldn't see the fish..

I don't know the specie, and am having trouble with getting it to eat.. At least with me present..

It had bad fin rot, scales fungus of sort, and had a large jack Dempsey in the tank also, which was even worse.. The JD was much worse and didn't make it.. Sad. So this guy is very skittish, 7-8 inches in length, and I have in a 90 gallon tank.

The belly of this fish is kind of sucked in and not full.. Is there something I can do to further help this fish?

I felt bad when I saw it, and tried to help and it looks much better, scales look much better, more active, and it would be nice to find it a friend of equal size.. Being so aggressive? It use to beat up on the JD before I completely separated them..

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated..

Best wishes,

Cepuras

If the fish has recovered then rehome it. The last thing you want is them ripping each other apart.

Hard to know what fish it is from the description. Can you take a pic and post it here?
