Trying To Find Out The Name Of A Fish

A friend saw a fish the other day at a pet store but I can't find out what it's called.
I didn't see it myself but apparently it was green and had an orange mouth that made it look like it was smiling.

Does anyone have any idea what this fish is?

with the vage discription....id go with the freshwater sunfish species....

can you not ask at the fish shop.....lots of marine i bet have that discription aswell....

if its saltwater dont have a clue.

since you said the face is "smiling" and its orange and green i might say a parrot fish. is it kinda fat and reminds you of a orange smiley face

Welcome to the forum SK. I*f it is large enough to recognize as a cichlid, I would start by doing a google search with the generic name Laetacara. They are a small group of cichlids that all have a line running through their mouth that gives them the appearance of smiling.
