Trying To Find A Home For Molly

Got a gold dust molly who's homicidal. Or whatever you call it with fish. Now he's in a 5g tank all by himself and all he does is "pace" the tank constantly.

I have a 10g where I have 9 tiger barbs, all about an inch long. Since I can't put the molly with the guppies (2 tanks) or my 55g (see sig) this seems to be the only option. Well, I suppose I could toss him in with my hubby's JDs and firemouths, but I don't want to send him on a kamikaze mission.

Think this would work?

Anybody? Feel free to tell me it's a really stoopid idea. I can handle it. But I'm running out of options with the molly.

no chance of a return to the LFS, or just simply rehome.

By all means you could try the molly in there, but if it doesnt work out theyre your best bets^

I've had him almost a year, and the closest LFS is turning out to be trouble. Just opened his pet store, but doesn't know squat about fish, just reptiles and amphibians. I already taught him as much as I could in a half hour's time. I sold him some guppies (actually an exchange for some fish) and although it's a relief to not have them in my tank, I worry about them lots.

There aren't many fishkeepers in my town, and the only one who's shown interest just wants to put him in with her turtle.

I politely said no.

I think I'll put him in with the tigers and see what happens. Worst case, he ends up back by himself until I can get him to the good LFS two hours away.
