Tropical Set-up Help

alright peeps,

i have had a tropical tank for a few years now n just chucked in fish of all sorts, but now im trying to get a quality looking tank running so any help will be gr8

1st prob i have is keeping plants some last but other die after a few weeks and can cost a fair bit

so any ideas will be2nd i have various fish n just wanting to know if these are ok together i have

fluvel 4 filter,with the air pipe running
30cm air stone ( how often should i run this )
brown plec 7inch
black plec 5 inch
albino plec 3 inch
5 clown loach
2 albino cory's
rainbow fish 3 ich
very large angel ( really pretty )
3 harlequin tetra
6 guppys

im looking at getting a dozen neon tetra

any help tips or info will be great

how bigs you tank?

for the plants better brighter light will help them grow you can buy tube lights for your aquarium that help your plants grow at most lfs just an upgrade will do

I wouldn't advise putting anymore fish into the tank, judging by the picture I'd say the tank is probably overstocked going by the list of fish you stated.

Angels + 2 plecs + 5 clown loaches would need a fairly big tank alone.

For the plants, we need to know the size of your tank, and how much light (watts) you have.

From this information, we will be able to figure out your WPG (Watts Per Gallon).

Yes, it is true that more light will increase plant growth, but there are limits on this, so that is why we need to know the information I have listed above.
