Tropical Fish Tank

I have an Elite Style 60 and am getting an annoying vibratory hum from the inspection/ feeding flap in the canopy when it is closed and the aquarium light is on. If wedged slighty open the noise disappears. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and if so can they suggest a remedy. thanks. Canalboat.

thats funny as i had the same thing yesterday with one of my tanks.. turned out that the filter was too high up in the tank, hence causing some vibration when the hood closed and the light was touching it

have you got an air pump running... just a thought

hope you find the cause before it drives you nuts
