Trigon 180 Lighting Failed

My trigon 180 light until has failed. I'd hoped it was just the bulbs, so I replaced them but that didn't sort the problem. No-one seems to do a replacement (ebay even!) but there are ads for the trigon 190 unit and the size seems the same (70 cm). Has anyon else ever used the Trigon 190 lights on a 180? Did they need to do any mods to make it fit? Many thanks!

You can repair this unit... All it takes is a few DIY skills.. A repair would be much cheaper than buying a new unit. If it is the (tube controller) ballast then you are looking at approx. £20.
 
Could you upload a few pictures of the lighting unit (esp. the underside/tubes etc.)?
 
I can talk you through exactly what to check/do etc.
 
Could you also post in the hardware section... I'll not miss the post then!

I appreciate the offer, but I'm not that good with lighting or electrics and as this is a sealed unit i really don't want to open it

I wasn't aware they did a 180 model?? juwel state on their website that they come in 190 and 350 models

Are you sure it's a 180 and not a 190?
