Have a tank with a small BGk, neons, corys and a blind cave fish. Yes the BGK is moving soon to a big tank! The neons and my BCF have whitespot on their fins and the neons are flicking on each other and ornaments. What to treat with as my dealer says Protozin will kill my BGK and is a risk still at half strength. He's sold me Myxazin which he says has cured whitespot in his tanks where Protozin can't be used but it takes 5 days'dosing instead of 3 with Protozin. Have put the first Myxazin dose but will it cure the whitespot?

I thought Myxazin was for bacterial infections like ulcers and fin rot and not parasitic infections like white spot so I donot think it will cure your white spot.

I also thought it was fine to use a half dose of white spot medication with scaleless fish present. Try using Interpet anti whitespot instead of protozin. It will have instructions on the bottle telling you the doses you should use with scaleless fish present.

Goodluck.

Thanks. Well I started the Myxazin yesterday so will continue with that until Friday as it's no worse, just a few spots and the flicking. If they're still the same I'll do a water change and wait a few days then use half-dose white-spot treatment!
