EW UGLE DO IT OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grr:

:good: kidding mate you can realy tell! :D witch is witch :hyper:

yea, its like pink, blue, green, and yellow. its pretty cool stuff and the commercial didnt say anything about not putting it in aquariums. maybe someone will experiment it with a goldfish? those are inexpensive anyway. just a thought everyone. if anyone does i would love to know how it turns out!

Im not even going to respond to the goldfish comment but common sense has to tell you that dyed sand is not suitable for aquariums the dye will eventually leach into the water and kill your fish. 9/10 times you need to stick to truly suitable for aquarium stuff only.

thanks so much for that picture! why do you have both types of sand in your tank btw? lol just done a quick bit of reasurch on that sand which is called space sand or mars sand, basically
Space sand is ordinary sand that has been exposed to the vapors of a silicon compound called trimethylhyoxysilan. This process changes the composition of the surface of the sand and makes it unbondable with water – hydrophobic (water fearing).

also the moon sand is actually a rip off of a toy that was sold in the late 90's

called sqand so you will probably get better research results with that

ahh i used to love that toy

i use argos stuff too. good deal, too.

the only drawback for me is it took ages (ABSOLUTELY AGES!) to clean. there was this yellow (?) foamy stuff that kept coming out

I use pool filter sand. Mine is a light tan color with some variagated grains in it... a little black and brown and white grains. It didn't need any cleaning, plus it's heavy enough to gravel vac! It maybe slightly courser than some people like, but I prefer it since I find play sand too small and gritty.
