after setting tank up and having it run for a while
i though i knew what i wanted which was a nice community tank different sahoes colurs sizes

well after it running for a while ,im thinking not really
so might set up another tank

Another 65L
Gravel bottom
fair amount of plant

with just
1 Pair of Honey Gouramis
1 Male siamese fighter
2 Female siamese Fighters

And some different loaches.. maybe kuhlis

is this a feasable select of fish or will the gouramis get to agressive??

what you think?

You shouldn't keep males and females together of fighter fish. The male will rip them to shreds, and should only be kept together for breeding purposes. Also fighters and gouramis shouldn't be kept together either since it is likely that the fighter will kill the gouramis.

i thought it was just male siamese i could not keep together

what other fish could i put into a tank the fill it out
simliar in size and could be paired

If there are less than six or seven female bettas, one will become the dominant and will have few people to pick on, making everyone stressed. With more, there is more people to pick on so no one betta gets too stressed.

Male bettas are a strange lot. Some can be in communities, while most attack other fish, and some attack anything.
But few are of the 'community' lot.

I had a my 36 gal tank with 8 female bettas together. I do not recomend it there is always going to be a few that get picked on alot and a few that get mean like the alpha females. My girls stressed ea hither out so much that only the alphy female out come out all the rest would hide from her..

Anyways for some people it works for other it will not. I now have a male betta in a community tank he is doing great I was kind of suprised because for a week I never saw him. But he is fine now.

Bettas should not be kept with other bettas unless they are to mate.

Also some male bettas could grow to see your gourami as another male and fight.
