Just thought id share my nightmare from the past few days!!

Upgraded my 11 females and community fish to a 215Litre 2 weeks ago.
All was great, no problems at all.
Done there first water change on Friday (8th July, I do water changes every 2 weeks on this tank).
On Sunday I noticed some of the fish looking a little 'quieter' than normal. Took a closer look at them and the neons had white spot!! Began treatment straight away on the whole tank.

Tuesday got home and found Buster my pitbull plec dead and Pea my multicolour HM female missing (haven't had her long), originally thought she would just be hiding. Searched the whole tank in the plants etc and no sign of her :( :(
Wednesday morning during feeding, Topaz my PK female jumped out, managed to scoop her up and back into the tank, she is fine!
Fingers crossed nothing more goes wrong and the white spot clears up soon!!! :(

On Sunday I also transferred my 3 boys, Sully, Marmite & Bumble to their new larger divided home. Noticed on Monday they had a ammonia spike and weren't looking to good. Water changed and got readings to 0. Tuesday Sully had developed popeye, I'm guessing due to the stress of moving and the ammonia spike, he is now in a separate hospital tank where he is getting daily water changes and salt baths.
Marmite and Bumble seem fine now (thankfully) and there water readings are perfect! Phew!!!

Stress Stress Stress!!!

Don't no where the White spot has come from and don't no how the ammonia spike occurred as there filters were moved with them.
Only thing I have added is new plants to both tanks!!
Anyway fingers crossed next week there will be no more dramas!!

Needed to get that off my chest

It's always the same isn't it, the second you fiddle around everything goes tits up. I'm having a right day of it myself as you read on my thread. And all that started with me just popping in a bloomin airstone. I wish I never bothered now.

Oh no Vicki! So sorry to hear all this. I hope that you get everyone back to full health without any more aggro.

R.I.P Pea and Buster :rip: :fish:

Took all plants out of tank yesterday and done a big water change & clean. No sign of pea (or remains) and looey 1 of my apple snails also totally vanished.
tank still gettin treated for white spot, only 1 platy showing a few spots. the neons are the worst, they are sperated and gettin treated separate. 1 of them is covered and dont look too good :(
sully still in his hospital tank with his popeye but he gettin there. Other 2 boys are great :)
on a good note babies are doing brilliant at the minute, u wouldn't recognise gandor, he is starting to look like daddy with his butterfly.

Also 'rescued' a tank and fish yesterday. Michaels friend lost interest, hadn't been cleaned for months, THICK of algae. Got a fully grown tin foil barb, 2 gouramis, 4 black widow tetras & 1 black neon. Tank got a good clean yesterday and fresh clean water for them. They will all be getting rehomed, apart from the 2 gourmis to my dad and the neon to join our school when the tank sorted.
Tank will be used for the babies :)

Essay over :)

glad everything seems to be picking up Vicki, i hate it when you don't find any remains though

Glad the fry are doing well, think we are due a piccy update :p especially on Gandor :hyper:

I am dreading to think of the size of this rescue tank with 2 fully grown tin foils in, they get rather big

Just wish I could do more for the white spot, hate it!!!! :-(

The tank is 100litres, only 1 tin foil, but still far to big for the tank. Just want them to go to good homes.

Ill get some pictures taken today nothing else more I can do in this horrible weather!!!

oops for some reason i read 2 tin foils lol might still be the drink from last night

white spot is horrible, have you raised the temp?

RIP Diane my lovely danio :( looks like it's more than White spot, think there's some other parasite/ bacteria in there.

Also in the hospital tank, sully with pop eye has suddenly took a turn for the worst and doesn't look to clever.
Done a emergency water change on him, even though he is already gettin daily ones. Used a dofferent dechlorinator on him earlier so eater changed and used the old one. Not saying this is the case but can't be too carful.

None of my equiptmrnt gets mixed, each tank has it's own nets, gravel cleaner , buckets etc.

Gutted :( Diane was 1 of my first fish :-(

Vicki i am so sorry to hear this, are they showing any other signs of illness?
Sure your doing all you can for them

To be honest they all look ok. Neons separate and have WS, 1 platy showing a few spots on the main tank and a few flicking on the plants but apart from that they SEEM ok :(

Morning update, Sully seems back to normal, Waffle doesn't seem to good :-(.
Done some research and I think it might be costia. All them symptoms lead to Diane last night.
Waffle is bloated this morning which is a sympton :(
The treatment i have covers this but can only do half treatments because of my loaches and RTBS!!

Oh Vicki I'm so sorry  I've never heard of costia,- I'll have to look it up. Can you move the loaches and ~RTBS so that you can do a full treatment for the others? I'm glad that Sully seems much better, but pray that you don't lose Waffle

R.I.P Diane :fish: :rip:
