Hi all,

I have some live rock for sale (or exchange for something decent such as an anenome or some soft corals and such)

It is a mix of different types, but is well established and has lots of coraline algae and other critters living in it.

the majority of the stuff is big and chunky, with lots of holes and is great filtration rock. i'd be looking for around £5kg if you were to collect, and £6kg for delivery (within 50 miles of Manchester).

The tongan rock is a bit more special, it's like tree branches if you havn't seen any. It looks amazing! It too is covered with tons of coraline algae, and has some things on it that i can't identify anywhere, but looks great. This stuff is really special and is no longer allowed for import into the UK apparently. It used to retail for around £22kg in shops, but i'd ideally be looking for £12-15kg dependent on the peice chosen.

All enquiries and offers will be considered, be cheeky you never know what I'll accept!!

If you would like some pictures I can take some poor quality ones on my phone and email them to you on request. Ideally viewing in person is recommended (that way you can choose your peices too!!!)

U cud easily make a cave with a few bits. There is a nice flatish peice perfect for the top. Im just behind bridgewater hall next to rain bar.

FYI - do you realise that the rock being sold is live rock for a marine tank?
Your 55 would appear to be a tropical freshwater tank as it houses a Jack Dempsey - this rock requires a marine reef tank.
Sorry for sticking my nose in.

Im interested, only in liverpool, how many KGs do you have in total? As i would need quite a bit...

i know im not stupid i was curiuos because its close to me and i thought i would check if there is anything thats for sale :S:S:S

so dont insult my intellegence

hi chaps,

i have between 50-75kg going spare, some is in my main tank and the rest is in my spare tank in the hall with a powerhead on it. pick up tonight or tomorrow is fine for me, i'm in most of the day.

i'll price it all up based on the parameters i speciffied at the beginning of this thread, but each peice is very different, but exteremely beautiful.

i particularly want to get rid of the tongan stuff, as i'm not 100% keen on it in my setup (just the looks dont match).

please use my personal email for a quick response, alexktz@gmail.com

Excuse my ignorance as im new to fish keeping.

no, there would be little point in buying "live" rock as it has come straight from the ocean and still has all the bacteria etc living on it that were there in sea!!

I do have a little ocean rock that would suit your needs (and is much cheaper)£1kg, it would need to be washed THOROUGHLY though as it too has come from the ocean at one point, its just not got all the living things in it (hence why it is so much cheaper). dont be shy to ask Qs either, that's what forums are for!
