Top Fish.........

I'm looking for suggestions on top dwelling fish for a community tank.

I mean what fish could I get that swim/stay at the top of a tank

Hatchet fish swim virtually only at the top , and are easy to keep provided you have a lid on your tank . There is a profile for hatchet fish in the tff profiles section ( I think ) .

well shark cats are high brackish but...

I Have 3 Zebra Danios, They Are Always Lurking Around The Top Of The Tank

zebra danios, leopard danios are a couple of others, also gouramis too

The tank is approx. 450 Litres

In the tank are
3 x clown loaches

1 x gourami (3 spot)

6 x corys, 4 bronze and 2 peppered

and tetras.....

4 x bleeding hearts

8 x neons

3 x black

3 x silver tipped

and some apple snails

anyway hatchets andd danios would look awesome in that size tank

Have a look at harlequinn rasboras, they are absolutely stunning fish, and swim mostly around the top half of the tank. A shoal of 5 would fit perfectly in your tank and they get on with pretty much every other fish.

I highly recommend them!

yup harlequins would work lovely, as would danio's. You've plenty of room for a shoal of two more of small fish.

If you want something that literally sits just under the water line then look into hatchett fish or halfbeaks, both of the hover around just under the surface and make really nice different additions to community set up.
