Top Dog Of The Tank(S)

So which fish or group of fish take over each of your tanks? Is it a fish that took you by surprise?

By day my two tiger barbs are in control followed closely by my normal finned danio. However, at night, when the lights turn off, my BN catfish takes over. Her/his name is Hilton (Paris Hilton...funny story) and if I drop a bit of an algae wafer that BN catfish will scoot across the gravel, whack off the barbs with its tail then hover over the food as if to say, "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME??!!" And if the tiger barbs try for the food again he will continue to "puff" himself out and thwack the other fish.

In my large tank it's probably the Angels, mainly because of their size, as they are all very peaceful generally.

In my 5 Gal, it'd be the betta ... no competition really, as he lives with 3 pygmy cories.

THey are all acting true to type I suppose.

During the day my Rainbowfish bosses my swordtails n 2 1/2 inch RTBS , at night it's a diff story my biggest Leopard Syno rules the tank, Bullies swordtails, RTBS, Rainbowfish, BN pleco, ZigZag Eel, bumblebee catfish n Midnight catfish.

In my smaller tank my Tiger Barbs are afraid of my Dwarf Puffer.

my arowana is boss in my 285 gallon but in the smaller tank the biggest of the rotkeil severums thinks its boss!

Generally its my Male Apisto - he dominateseveryone except the
Polka Dot loaches who completely ignore his attempts to intimidate them.
They ignore everyone except each other !

The platy fry, they're feisty little buggers, they'll stop the Trigonostigma hengeli from going in the escargot shells.

Geophagus Brasiliensis.

The large male is the boss, total tank domination... The only fish he wont mess with is the Polypterus Senegalus.. Although i reckon if they went at it proper, the Birchir would kick butt. Hes just too docile to bother the other fish most the time!

My Angels bully the rasboras but my big BN plec takes no prisoners when they're near his grub!
