Too Old To Breed?

Hey everyone.

My PK male is over a year old wonderin if he's too old to breed?
He's very active and flares alot lol.
He did build a nest til the filter destroyed it.

He's never still for 5 mins lol he's always wonderin around his tank.

I'd say he's too old... the breeding age is about 4 months.

4 months to 12 months,Ive bred bettas over 12 months before.no many fry though,most likely get eaten by older parents.

hes not too old at all, give it a try who knows what will happen, he might be infertile though or have a low count, it might shorten his life span as its hard work for a male

Dunno if it counts for nething but he's been bred twice before and was the "Perfect Dad" incording to Breeder but he wanted to move onto other tail types.
he was a yr old when I got him and he's about 1.3 yrs now

be neat if you got a mix of the two, if thats possible, have the short pk fins and the ct spikes out of it (i know thats not wat there called, but its the only thing coming to mind)

you would get i think plkat with a tiny tiny bit of crown in the fins,But if you breed brother and sister form the spawn you will get better crowning.I think ou will get some ct and some normal pk in there.

hes very pretty...wats the female look like that ur thinkin of breeding with him
