Okay so my family and I went out to Young's Buffet, a chinese buffet about 10 minutes away. There they had about a 6 or 7 foot pond but it was only filled halfway maybe about 6 or 7 inches tall. They had fancy goldfish which were pretty large and some koi. The koi were about a foot or a little longer, some being only 6 or 7 inches as well. They had some sort of sucker fish that was around a foot long as well. He was awesome! I wanted to take him home sooo bad! He was so cute! But besides that, people throw their dirty coins into the pond. Is this safe for the fish? It stays pretty warm in Florida year round, but shouldn't the pleco ideally not be in there with the koi and goldies? I would LOVE to ask them how much they would give him up for...but I was too scared to ask, and I didn't have any money at the time either.
Then we went to the Goodwill next store and they had a cute little narrow fish tank that was only about 5 or 6 inches wide and about a foot and a half long or something. It had light wood trim and would match my one dresser I have in my room. It also came with a HOB filter and a UG filter and a background. But it was REALLY dirty and had white stuff all over it. It needed a REALLY good cleaning and still I didn't know if it would all come off. They wanted $30.00 for it!!! I can go to walmart and buy a 10 gallon set-up for like $30.00 The one at the Goodwill didn't even have a light. I was planning on using it for one of my betta boys. Too bad it was too much. Although I did get a plastic aquarium plant for only 59 cents and it was new in the package.
So I had an okay day, just wish I could have bought that pleco and that tank.
