I have become too lazy recently so have decided to force myself, to attempt to set up my 101 gallon tank. theres not an awfull lot to say as you chapps know it all LOL, but I have become unhappy with 2 of my tanks and the condition that they are in, time to get the finger out! will post some photos and see if I can work some majic.
I have changed my mind about setting up all my tanks, as going to bed to the sound of the niagra falls has become a little bit too much for me, in this pokey little house. so I have gone for the tv stand option to sit this tank on, rather than build some larger units. its sunday, its p1551ng down, and i'm still sat on my a$$.

Nice one Brewyn I hope to see lots of pictures and keep us posted on the progress.
Is the Marine Tank on hold for the minute ?

cant even start it untill I get this one out the way. its the old saying * you need to make a mess* you know what I mean???? :good: love your tank nick, how's it coming on???

this is the proposed tv cabinet I will use for the fish tank stand.

its too small so Iv'e cut a piece of 3/4 inch hard board to fit the tank, and to take the full weight of the tank. its been glued to give that extra support, and once dried, It will also be screwed in place.

Iv'e turned the top of the tv stand upside down so as the added board sits flat side of the routering, would have looked odd if I had of left it.

heres photo.

Whats is your gut feeling about those legs on the cabinet. Do you think they they will be able to support 100 gallons?

Ok your using an old Mbuna tank for your new marine tank so you need to set up this tank to move your Mbuna into. 100 gallons is a big tank but that cabinet looks very solid should be good for the job.

Thanks, I have`nt done anything today with the tank I had to pretend I wanted to go out of the house instead of arranging rocks in my fish tank. maybe some more progress tonight i`m dying to get started with the cycling so I can actually buy some fish.

soon going to find out!!!!!!

they seem to be strong enough as its a big tv stand.

sound good, hey nick have you been able to get a good supply of Ammonia for your fishless cycle?

sorry nick, was replying when I lost the internet signal.

got a new tank for the marine setup, using the old mbuna tank as the sump.

Right I see, your Marine Tank sounds interesting I`ll have a look when it gets started.
Is the Ocean Rock/Meteor getting put to use ?
Tanks - I`ll reply on my Tank page as I don`t want to spoil Brewyns Topic.

Yep, pics of both would be great as you go Brewyn. (as if you didn't have enough to do without taking more pics  )

Nick, I swapped my meteor rocks for a small amount of Live rock and some hermit crabs etc. I have a small marine tank set up in the kitchen, just to see how it goes, ruddy expensive, £100 just for the 2ft lights.

Ferris, I love taking photos and showing off my fish to you enthusiasts.

now to see if the tank fits through the door :hey:

Good luck, i had to take the front door off to get my 125 gal in.

here's a few of the small marine set up
