So i was at my lfs selling my 2 cichlids (story time, don't need to read) and he said i'd only get 15$ store credit and i told him i'm trying to find a small tank for a shrimp tank on my desk, but turns out the owner knows my uncle and he's a really good friends with him, and i was in there browsing and he's all "alright bro i'll give you this".. and he hands me a Fluval Chi 5 gallon brand new, for the cichlids and i stood there in aww, ahaha but i took it, why not. 
 
But anywhoser i want to know if the 11 led's are bright enough to grow plants, thats my only main concern.

The number of LEDs doesn't matter. What is important is how bright they are. Unfortunately I have not seen any lumen or PAR spec for it.
