i poured 1/4th of a cup of pure ammonia and my tank turned cloudy cloudy white, will this kill my plants? did i add to much,.should i do a water change,i am freaking out help would be very nice

Do you have an ammonia test kit? You want no more than 5 ppm ammonia. Depending on the size of your tank, you may have added too much. Do a series of 90% waterchanges to get the level down, test the water, and re-add the correct amount of ammonia. You can find the correct amount by using the calculator found here.

boy i am an idot i added 1/4s in in 29 gallon well i should have added milli leters :/ :/    i just did a 50% change and i did a ammonia test and it red 8.0 :-( :-( :/ :/ :/

You are probably going to need to do some 90% (down to the gravel) type water changes to get that ammonia concentration back down.
