Tips On Making Shade In Tanks

As it says in the title do you have any good tips to make good shade in a tank? I ask this because my glass cats really don't like the lighting and would want something to make abit of shade in the back on the tank, all suggestions welcome.

I'd get some floating plants that will give them some shade, it's what i use for my discus
