This is my Shrimp tank.

Thats gorgeous Tangokitty!!!!!

Lilfishie....I don't have petstores near me exactly....but I do find myself driving in their direction lately even thought they are miles away....no, they are very poor I'm afraid....my nearest one which is about 15 miles away do the Elite 25w Heaters but they are quite bulky and the smallest filter they have is a Fluval 1 plus.

I'll have to go further a field...or do it on the internet which is how I do most of my shopping actually.

The filters yes, :good: the heater pad, no.... -_-

I can only find the heater pad on American sites...I'd really like that one..so small, perfect for what I need.

I recently bought this for my QT tank:

It measures about 3x1.5x1 (inches) so it's pretty tiny, but fairly powerful nonetheless - I've had to turn it right down for my 13ltr!

I'm on the lookout for a small heater as well, so I'll watch this space with interest...

I did find this heater, which looks pretty much ideal, except there's no temperature adjustment or thermostat. Only to be expected for something that size, I guess.

I have a fluval 1 in a six gallon and it works fine

Pets at home do a £8.99 filter for 4-5 gallon tanks

Redeyes, Yes, actually I did see the Hagen Elite Mini Filter in a shop here…

I do like the submersible filters. It means I can keep my lid intact without have to cut a hole out to fit a hang over filter, so if I can’t find anything smaller I may go with the Hagen one or the Interpet Internal air filter which possibly could be even smaller than the Hagen one.

That NeWattino Heater 10w looks great! (Pity its blue though! ;) Why not black! :hey: ) And it’s a UK site so it will be compatible electrically….can’t see if they ship to Ireland though?

Hmm, thats something to also consider....the fact that its not thermostatically controlled....hmmm. Thats would be the same issue with the Hydor Heater pads I think?

That is a great website actually…so easy to read!!

Thanks Jazzzz…its size that’s the problem with the fluval plus 1 not the functionality….it would take up a lot of space in my tank…

I had a look on www.petsathome.com I can see the Azoo Mignon Filter 60 again….but also this:

Azoo Oxygen Plus Biofilter 8…I wonder would this be suitable?

It doesn’t give the dimensions though...it might be huge!!!

pets at home or acorn ( one of them) do a set with a tiny filter and heater in there, think it was about £15
