Time To Finish?

Oh boy, good luck, convicts pop little convicts like rabbits!!!!

And I think more than a 20g is needed - make sure you have plenty of hidey holes and plants to break up any aggression issues as they get larger.

isnt a 20g way too small for 2 convicts let alone 4????

did the guy at the lfs know what size tank you have?

Hiya

well an odd turn of events has come upon me,
I was explainin to the guy at my LFS what happend and that I was thinkin of quitting fish keeping and to my shock he gave me 4 Convict Cichilds for NOTHING!

What is it with ppl giving me random fish? 0.0

But yea very happy with them there very cute!

ull get babies and won be able o get rid of them

rofl, i'm sorry but that guy obviously saw u coming i'm afraid,

If your thought kribs bred like mad then you won't like convicts, They are much bigger and much more aggressive, Once two pair up you will need to remove the other two or else they will be killed

Leedsboi now wants to hide in a corner and cry :( Sorry this wasnt the news you wanted was it.

Honestly, return them and explain to the guy that after reading up on them, you would prefer to change them for something far less aggressive and that your tank is not large enough.

Ask Shelagh, she had a breeding pair in with Jambo -and they scared the crap outta him

Poop >.< I'm kinda stuck with them now for 2 weeks ish due to medical issues,
was in agony with my bank going out today! Damn the cars low seats!!!!

I will look into getting a 4ft tank ^.^

As others have alreay said, 4 connies in a 20 will be a bit crowded when they are ready to breed. Until then it is roomy enough for them. It is not unusual to breed convicts in a tank that small but you will need a place for the fry to grow up. Convicts are not my cup of tea but they are usually great parents and are interesting to watch when they are caring for fry.
