Hi everyone
I have a Betta (you may remember my post about Scraps ;) ) whose fins took a beating during transport to the LFS. His damaged fins deteriorated so he's only left with very stubby fins. ;__;
I'm currently using bettafix right now to help him out. On the first week it worked wonders. He healed up a GREAT deal. However, the progress is slowing :( I did the 7-day water change, feed him appropriately and he's only got live plants in his tank.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this normal?

Could be him just stopping ?

Ive had fish that didnt recove fully they just stopped healing even tho nothing was wrong

I supposeif hes happy eating and healthy he shoul be ok :)

He's certainly eating and swimming as per usual, which is good. But his tail is half the radius it used to be. And his dorsal fin is fairly torn. Not like the first pic I have of him :(

How much did progress slow down?

It went from a lightning fast heal to no progress in the regrowth of his dorsal and anal fin at all. :/

That could just be it it normaly dosnt grow back to full size ive never had a fish that has unfortunetly

The dorsal fin should re seal it self soon just try giving some more protien in his diet such as bloodworm

The more protien (altho dont over load) the faster he should heal as protien supplies the ingredients to promote healthy re growth and repair
