Fish Addict
OK, so now we are both bitten by the Betta bug well and truly, and seeing as relatives are encouraging us by giving us cold, hard cash for Christmas, we popped in Ace Aquatics, our LFS in Ashford.
We picked up four Superfish Aqua 40 tanks (normal retail c£40) for £90
Then we decided, as no fish took our fancy, to pop down to Rolvenden where our nearest World Of Water is.
After a bit of a look round, I saw Sterbai for £2.25 each, 2 for £4.00 or 4 for £7.50 - yes I did say Sterbai!
Anyway, I bought 8 of them
The wife saw them and also bought 8
They sell male Bettas at WOW for £2.50 each. What would have been a normal cheap Betta turned into even more of a bargain when we saw two Crowntails.
We brought both of them home for a fiver
After a bit of a re-arrange we have taken back the 2 Pictus and 3 male & 3 female Guppies to Ace. The Pictus were just hyper all the time and didn't really settle in, the Guppies were simply nightmares, no, nymphomaniacs!
Anyway, my wife has her 8 Sterbai in her 22g tank with Blade and the three remaining female Guppies.
I have my 8 Sterbai in the Betta Girls' tank.
We have set up two of the four tanks we bought today for our two new Crowntails, Fluffy and Imhotep, with mature media from other tanks.
Will post picks of the new boys once they are settled in
