Thoughts On These Kind Of Products?

lol where abouts in nottingham are you?

yeah yours said nottinghamshire so i just assumed it was like the outskirts!

NG17

The other thing you could do i cram it full of fast growing stem plants such as Cabomba, Elodea, Hygrophila, Limnophila etc. That would be kind of like doing a silent cycle and would cut down on the water changes a little.

ah im all the way in NG3, yeah i get paid in the next 4 days so its not too bad. im just getting a bit tired of the daily water changes. and its burning through declorinator like no tomorrow!

so il be getting a new filter and some other bits and pieces then. probs some more live plants and then save some money for a few fish when my tank finally settles

Is it the tank in your signature?

What dechlorinator are you using? Seachem Prime is one of the best on the market and uses 0.25ml per 10 litres of water.

i ran out of stesscoat+ so at the moment im using interpet tapsafe. yeah the tanks the one in my sig

yeah i had to buy what the LFS had at the time cuz i dont drive or anything. so its either P@H or one in nottingham city centre for now.

If you doing constant water changes I would look at using de-Chloe from Wilkinsons stores as its cheap & goes a long way as you use a small capful for every 36ltrs if water if I recall correctly .... Oh and it works as I gave been using it for over 12 months. Don't get me wrong, I'm changing to Prime shortly but whilst doing daily water changes Prime and the like can get expensive hence.
Fingers crossed the tank will settle down shortly pal ... Keep at it!!

Whats the one in the town centre? I found the p@h at lady bay shocking!!

There is a MA at Trowel if you could get there? They would probably help you out with some media if you asked nicely. lol.

the one in town centre is also shocking! its up a little dingy shpp in a alley way. its called "kayes petshop" the staff there are like the people from the hills have eyes!

i go to P@H castle marina when i can. ive also been to brookfields garden centre a few times and thats where the majority of my fish are from. heard good things about wheatcroft garden centre which has a MA(maidenhead aquatics i presume?) section. im limited due to having to use public transport and dont really feel comfortable having a bag of fish on a public bus, so i normally have to wait for my mums partner going in the direction of a shop i want to go to lol

Hmmm... I think i mean castle marina... Got my retail parks mixed up. lol.

The one at Giltbrook is decent (near ikea)

The one at Wheatcroft is brilliant. There was another at East Bridgeford but it closed unfortunately. :(

I use MA at trowell as my main fish place, its closest to me and the guys there have been great with me,

I was interested to read about the dechlorinator, I use the bioactive tapsafe from interpet too and am going through loads after my tank suffered a mini cycle event recent. What woudl you guys think to the tetra tap stuff? Its just one of the easiest to get hold of for me given that tesco stock it!
