I currently have 3 Sunburst mickey mouse platys, 2 Gold twin bar platys, 4 Zebra danios (1 either died of unknown causes, or got too close to filter intake and got stuck), 1 female guppy, 2 juvenile guppys, 1 Emerald green cory, and 2 Albino cories. The tank is a well planted 72G bow front with good filtration. The following is the different fish I've considered adding (not ALL, but some of them):

I WILL ADD:
At least 1 Emerald Cory (hard to find locally)
or
At least 1 Albino Cory

CONSIDERING:
1 male/female pair Dwarf Gourami

1 male/female pair Bosemani Rainbow

Looked into several different kinds of loaches.

Amano Shrimp (never seen locally)

*After ALL the reading I've done about Tetras, I'd prefer to keep away for now.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.

It's a pretty big tank and cories do really well in groups of 6 so I would up the groups to reflect that.

Your ideas for pairs the gourami and rainbow fish is great and will work well on both counts.

Amano shrimp are fine for your tank. With tetras, the small ones are pretty crappy usually but there are some bigger ones - look up Congo Tetra these are very much like rainbow fish and do well in community tanks. Also buenos aires tetra are a bigger sized tetra that are very pretty.

Dwarf Neon Rainbow are nice, so are the red [salmon] rainbowfish.

I have honey and red robin gourami and they are great.

I am not a fan of danios or platys so I can't comment on those really.

i agree with upping your cory numbers, what sexes are your guppy and platies?

Thanks for the replies. I have one female guppy and I can't distinguish between the two fry/juveniles yet. The platies are 2 males and 3 females.

In a few weeks I'll probably add either more Cories or a Dwarf pair. I feel limited on selection because there are only two local places that seem to do a good job of taking care of their fish. In the other places there is at least one fish in every tank that has white spot.
I really wish I could find some local shrimp. Everyone only has Ghost shrimp. Maybe I'll try my hand with those once my guppies get a little bigger.

then i'd get a couple more (1 or 2 will be fine) female platies as idealy you should have 2/3 per male, its the same with guppies so you may need more of them once the juvi's grow
